Welcome To The “UNEMPLOYER” !

You are probably wondering about the word “Unemployer” you might have even have searched through the internet or a dictionary to see why the word that seems familiar yet is is somehow wrong. Didn’t find much  did you? Oh you might have come across this definition:

Urban Dictionaries definition of UNEMPLOYER: The company that lays you off but gives you 2 months notice so that you have to come in day in and day out, completely unmotivated and depressed, before you’re utterly jobless. You’re employed, and yet, unemployed, like how vampires are undead. Who is responsible for this wretched state of being? Your Unemployer.

Ok that is a definition of sorts yet when I think of this non-word I think of a state that is between unemploymnet and employment but a state in which not being employed by some company who then holds your life in their hands. That is where I believe is where the problem is. not being employed or unemployed but being at the mercy of someone or some company that by the very nature of a corporation does not have your best interest at heart.

So what to do? the first thing is to stop thinking like an employee……(corporate dependent). Kind of like Blanche DuBois in Tennessee William’s A Street Car Named Desire when she utters the famous line “I have always depended on the kindness of strangers” and shortly after being taken by the doctor for psychiatric help.

Yes we go from one company to another with periods (27 weeks) of government dependence in between. What a pathetic bunch we are. Let’s get up walk over to the window and make some of our own network news while screaming at the top of our lungs “I’m mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore”. Good ………..I am feeling a little better. How about you?

ready to start something?  Let’s start by thinking and acting differently.

Think differently, Apple computers went from an  almost bankrupt, irreverent company  has been to the new cool kid on the block. They started by thinking differently.

So Ready to think differently? Ok here goes.

1. I am  now no longer unemployed

2. I am now my own employer

Phew!….there I said it “I am an unemployer”!

NOW WHAT?……
